Rhubarb Gin Liqueur

Funky, flavorful, and the delightfully different!

Flavour Profile: Bitter, Fruity, Sweet

Difficulty: Simple

Ingredients:

  • 2.5oz Sheringham Rhubarb Gin
  • 0.75oz Cointreau
  • 0.5oz Aperol (or Esquimalt Bitter Orange)
  • 0.5oz Lemon Juice
  • 1oz Simple Syrup*
  • 1 bar spoon plain Greek Yogurt
  • 3 Dashes Rootside Coffee Cardamom Bitters (can be replaced by any other brand and separated into individual bitters)

Method:

First, chill a Tiki Highball, Pilsner beer glass or a large Collins glass by filling it with ice and set aside. Take your shaker tin/mixing glass and add all the ingredients in. Add ice and begin to shake vigorously for about 20 seconds. Then take your glass and dump the ice. Double strain (Hawthorne and fine mesh) your drink into the glass and serve up. Garnish with grated nutmeg and a single mint leaf.

*Simple Syrup Method:

Boil 1 part water and 1 part sugar. Let cool before bottling.
